Stronger Foundation. Brighter Futures.

Our Families First and Intensive Family Support programs provide client-guided and individualized in-home support services to families. Within these programs, we emphasize family preservation while reunifying children with their family whenever safe and possible. Some of the support services we provide include:
Intensive Family Support
Our Intensive Family Support Program is a person-centered and strengths-based home visiting program for families whose primary focus is family preservation, cohesion, and reunification. This program works with families of all diversities as long as there is a child in the home aged 18 or younger.
Families First
Our Families First program provides person-centered and individualized in-home support services to families who have at least one child aged 5 and under in their family unit. This program focuses on family preservation by helping parents access community resources that will better suit the needs they may have with their young children.
In both programs we focus on reducing risk and capitalizing on strengths within families to:
We do not place time frames in this program and will continue to working with families until their goals have been accomplished.
Each family is matched with a Support Worker who will remained connected to the family for the longevity of their time in the program. We value the relationship and rapport that’s built with all of our families in this program.
We strongly believe that each family is special, unique and full of strengths.
With this in mind, we provide a strengths-based model of support that does not follow a curriculum in order to “meet a family where they are at” and accomplish goals catered to each family.
Ultimately, our goal is to promote happy, healthy families.

Will you help my child with their behaviours?

We do not specialize in working with children who are experiencing complex needs but we will support parents in navigating challenges that may arise from this journey.
Can you help me get my kids back?
Yes, we work with a lot of families who are trying to reunify. We use a person centered approach while liaising with Child Protection Workers to ensure case plans are realistic and achievable. We help parents of all diversities meet those case plan goals and can continue to work with families after Child and Family Programs closes the family’s file.
Can you help me get to mine and my kids appointments?
We understand transportation is a barrier for a lot of families and are happy to offer transport to appointments that pertain to family goals and needs.
Can you help me with filling out forms?
We often help people and families connect to resources that are appropriate for them and will help meet there needs. With connections to resources come paperwork, to lessen the task load we will help families fill out forms and send them to where they need to go. We often help families with housing applications, Jordan’s Principle applications, Canadian Child Tax Benefit applications, and more.
Can you help me with getting food?
We will support families and accessing many different food programs within out community, whether it’s helping setting up an account at the Regina Food Bank, registering for a Family Basket through REACH or looking into other food security resources.
Can you help me find housing for me and my kids?
Our program is always up to date on the most recent housing programs in our community and prides itself of being able to connect families to them. We will support families in finding housing that’s right for them by filling out housing applications, transporting to viewings, connecting utilities, and navigating a new neighborhood.
